Your students will find learning easy since they will be able to fill in the word from the available list. Especially when they are still at the formation stages, your students learning will be enhanced a great deal. You can create your own worksheet by following some simple steps. You can be having a template to assist you while creating fonts, shapes of the grid, and many more. You can also choose how your letters will be replaced after your students have completely have filled them to ensure that it’s used for learning purposes again.
Read, read and read some more – You don’t need worksheets for this one either, but you may want to join the local library rather than spend a fortune on books that your child outgrows as quickly as they outgrow their clothes! The more you read to your child, with your child, and in front of your child, the quicker they will learn to read, and learn how to enjoy it too.
It is not bad to reuse worksheets for another batch of students, but once in a while, it is also better to vary the activities you give to kids. Worksheets can be made for fun if it is attuned to the current interests of kids. The kids will respond better to activities close to their own interests.
The first step is to consider the correct or appropriate font to use – the bigger the better. Avoid fonts such as the Roman Script as the curls and curves of the letters may be confusing. For kids, fun fonts such as the Comic Sans MS are advisable. It can be used as standard fonts for worksheets especially when bugger fonts are needed. Note that the font size itself may differ depending on the age of the students. So when writing worksheets for kids, font sizes between 14 and 18 are suggested.
Vocabulary Expansion – By incorporating colors to describe various items, your child expands their vocabulary too. Discovering new items of a certain color helps them learn new words to name the items, such as a red apple, a red fire truck, a redshirt, and so forth.
Using pictures – While your child is still learning to recognize the letters of the alphabet, you can use pictures (or the actual item) to help them practice their sounds. Find pictures of a bird, a ball, a bat, a bath, a book, and so forth to practice the letter ’B. Choose a letter for the day and encourage your child to find items that start with that letter around the house. Printable worksheets should have nice exercises for this as well.
